The three-year National Lottery funding for Climate Action Seacroft comes to an end in September 2024 – and the organisation is asking for YOUR feedback.

Climate Action Seacroft is part of a citywide movement of climate activity under the banner of Climate Action Leeds.

A spokesperson said: “During the three years we have achieved a great deal to make Seacroft cleaner, greener, and more nature friendly.

“We have created a Forest Garden; planted fruit trees and bushes; provided green spaces to grow food for the community; started nature-friendly youth clubs; created an Active Travel Hub (launching next month); created a community compost system…. loads of wonderful and sustainable projects.

“Some projects have a life of their own, like the Seacroft Hookers and Knit-Wits, who save materials from landfill, make craft items that they then gift back into the community. The Compost Collective has 25 regular members, and looking for more….. The Forest Garden will continue, you should visit! The Active Travel Hub will continue too, we will get you walking, riding a bike, and using public transport more.”

Other parts of the project may continue too.

People are also asked to take 10 minutes to complete Climate Action Seacroft’s annual survey, which helps the organisation to report to the Lottery about what’s been happening and why they should continue to fund work like this.
