I saw Chapel FM’s fantastic email highlighting some of the many things they have going on, and I wanted to highlight events coming up at Chapel FM for the rest of 2023.

Chapel FM is an exciting community radio station based out of Seacroft, but also an amazing venue for events and activities.

Save Our Stories: Home From Home Show- 31st March- 1st April
Our new community theatre project telling stories of Seacroft 

24 hour Musicathon – 17th- 18th June
This year it has moved to the summer as part of Leeds 2023 our Year of Culture 

East Leeds FM 20th Anniversary Celebration- 15th July 
Celebrating 20 years of your community radio station 

Seacroft Arts Festival – 12th August
Brand new arts festival created by We Are Seacroft collective  

Writing on Air Festival – November- December 
Our annual creative writing on the radio festival

“Red Kite” radio show – run by young people from East Leeds – made a show about their cultural backgrounds. From China to Ireland and Singapore to Scarborough and more:

“Home From Home” – Barry Ewart talks about growing up in Seacroft in the 1950s-70s. Discovering pubs, getting fish and chips, playing football and getting involved with local politics. All in 30 minutes!

Through Our Eyes
A music group for people of all abilities, with a focus on ensuring
that no disability prevents someone from creating music. 
Mondays at 1:30pm

Food Cycle
Come and enjoy company and conversation with others over a delicious free meal, prepared with care by FoodCycle volunteers.
Every Tuesday evening from 6:30pm to 8pm
