Women in East Leeds are being invited to take part in She Rises, a free course designed to help women build confidence, strengthen self belief and take positive next steps in life, work or volunteering.

The women focused programme offers a supportive and welcoming space to grow, connect with others and develop practical tools for everyday challenges. Sessions focus on managing stress and difficult emotions, understanding personal strengths, and learning how to ask for what you need in work, training or education. Participants are also supported to create a clear and realistic plan for what comes next.

One participant described the impact of the course as life changing: “Since joining, I’ve found my voice. I speak my mind, say what I truly feel, and listen with more intention. I feel like a more rounded and confident person.”

The course is open to women living in Leeds, aged 64 or under, who are not currently in work. Sessions are friendly, practical and led by women who understand mental health challenges.

She Rises in Gipton, East Leeds, runs on Mondays starting 2nd February, from 1pm to 3pm, at The Old Fire Station, Gipton Approach, LS9 6NL, and lasts for seven weeks.

She Rises is also running in New Wortley on Thursdays starting 5th February, from 1pm to 3pm, at New Wortley Community Centre, 40 Tong Road, Armley, LS12 1LZ.
