Janine GriffithsA free afternoon of music, poetry and creativity is coming to Hibiscus Rising this month.
Nice Up Part 3 will take place on Sunday 20 September, bringing together young performers, musicians and poets for an afternoon celebrating community, creativity and the legacy of David Oluwale.
The event has been organised by Remember Oluwale and Music House, with support from the Breeze team.
Young people who have taken part in Music House workshops have used David Oluwale’s story and the idea of “leading the change” to create music exploring issues that matter to them.
They will perform their work alongside special guest musicians and poets.
The afternoon will also feature stalls from the African market, food, craft activities, soft play and more.
The event runs from 12.30pm to 4.30pm on Sunday 20 September at Hibiscus Rising, Aire Park, Meadow Lane, Leeds, LS11 5BJ.
Entry is free and there is no need to book. Visitors can simply turn up.
