Seacroft Village Green will come alive with the vibrant sounds of music this Saturday as the highly anticipated Musicathon takes center stage.

Scheduled for June 17th from 12 noon until 7pm, this annual music festival promises a day of excitement and entertainment for all.

At 7pm, the festivities will continue at Chapel FM radio station as part of a 24 hour marathon honouring the longest day of the year. Music fans will therefore be able to enjoy the fun until Sunday June 18th as live listeners or tune in at www.chapelfm.co.uk.

Now in its 13th year, Musicathon has become a cherished event in the local community, providing a platform for grassroots talent to shine. This year’s edition is set to be bigger and better than ever, thanks to a partnership between Chapel FM Arts, We Are Seacroft, and Leeds 2023.

Located in the heart of Seacroft, on the picturesque Seacroft Village Green, the festival will offer an array of activities for attendees of all ages. Families can enjoy arts and crafts, captivating workshops, and even catch a glimpse of a giant hippo that will surely add a touch of whimsy to the festivities.

In addition to the delightful array of performances, Musicathon will feature live radio broadcasts, ensuring that the spirit of the event reaches beyond the confines of the green. The event organisers have also arranged for refreshments to be available on-site, or attendees can opt to bring their own picnic to enjoy in the midst of the music-filled atmosphere.

The significance of Musicathon extends beyond a single day of celebration. With its origins dating back to 2010, the festival has continually served as a platform to spotlight local talents, giving them an opportunity to showcase their skills to a wider audience. Through its partnership with We Are Seacroft and Leeds 2023, this year’s Musicathon aims to not only entertain but also foster a sense of community and cultural exchange.

The Musicathon is a must-attend event for music enthusiasts, families seeking an enjoyable day out, and anyone looking to immerse themselves in the vibrant local arts scene. Seacroft Village Green will undoubtedly be the place to be this Saturday as the harmonious melodies and joyful atmosphere of Musicathon fill the air.

Mark your calendars for June 17th and join in the fun as Musicathon delivers a day of unforgettable performances, engaging workshops, and a celebration of local talent. Remember, this event is open to all, so gather your loved ones and head down to Seacroft Village Green for a day of music and merriment.
