One of our fabulous editors, Natalie Tharraleos, attended a Climate Action Leeds event in January:

I attended my first online Neighbourhood based Climate Action  Network event in January.

I have to admit I wasn’t expecting much- my view of online events is that they won’t be very engaging! However, it was really interesting and enjoyable, with lots of interactive ways to connect, discuss and come up with actions to look at the issues on our doorsteps.

A great way to move from feelings of panic and overwhelm that can easily take hold when thinking about what’s happening to our planet to rising faith that together we can do a fair bit, dream big, hope big, and get busy doing what we can- AND have fun along the way.

My favourite question of the session, and one to take away:
” What does my neighbourhood need from me in 2023?”

Share your answers, visions and news about your green projects with us at editor@eastsidestory.com or Clarrie at    climateactionseacroft@gmail.com

If you want to join the next Leeds Climate Action Hub, contact or find out about more Leeds Climate Action: https://www.climateactionleeds.org.uk/

The next meeting is in person, Tues 21 March, at 7pm, at Little London Community Centre 7pm.

And a massive thank you to Debbie and Sue for a creative, fun online meet up.
