Are you looking to improve your sense of wellbeing? Have you struggled with stress, feeling low, isolation, or just want to get out of the house?
LS9 Lives and Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service are hosting some FREE community days this Summer! They will be every Monday from 5th June to 10th July, from 11:30 until 15:30 at St Aidan’s Community Hall in Harehills.

The day will involve an hour-long dance session, at midday, with Karma Dance. We will be offering free hot food and drinks. There will also be stalls from local small businesses and support organisations and arts and crafts activities on offer.

We’ll be chatting about what wellbeing support would be useful by the local community and how Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service can adapt to meet these needs.
Food, drink and stalls are open to all! There are 20 spaces available on the dance sessions for LS9 residents – first come first served – please sign up using this link. ( On the email the link is there- how do I get it on here?)

Support independent community journalism!
East Side Story covers the people, places and stories in Leeds that are too often overlooked. While national headlines chase conflict and clickbait, we focus on real communities and the issues shaping daily life in East Leeds.
Divisive content, AI noise and online rumours spread faster than ever. At the same time, many mainstream outlets are stretched and rarely spotlight the community organisations and local champions who deserve recognition.
East Side Story was created to change that. We answer only to our readers. We have no corporate owners or billionaire funders. Our journalists report freely, ask difficult questions and hold power to account.
Your support helps us keep this work going. Monthly contributions make the biggest impact because they allow us to invest in deeper reporting and fearless local journalism.
Supporters also receive exclusive updates, behind the scenes insights and other benefits as a thank you for keeping independent journalism alive.
