Families can get into the festive spirit on Saturday 6 December, when the Rotary Club of Roundhay brings its annual ‘Selfie with Santa’ grotto back to Sainsbury’s Moor Allerton Centre. Running from 10am to 5.30pm, the event invites children to meet Santa in his cosy grotto while parents snap a selfie to take home.
Now in its fourth year, the volunteer-led fundraiser has already generated more than £6,000 for Martin House Hospice. Supported by the Rotary Club of Headingley, it’s one of several community events run by Rotary volunteers, who support local, national and international charities throughout the year.
All donations from the Santa visit go directly to Martin House, helping to support families across the region. As one grateful mum said: “It’s wonderful to see the spirit of Christmas without it being commercialised!”
