Election Result: Richard Burgon wins Leeds East for Labour

The city’s Leeds East seat was taken by Labour’s Richard Burgon, who took 18,610 votes at the General Election.

He said last night’s result was a rejection of the past 14 years of Tory rule and added: “The Conservative Party has been rejected by people across this country.”
